U, Me, My SUV

She has a 2000 navy blue Jeep Grand Cherokee. It comes with an 18 gallon tank, a six cylinder engine, and gets 19.5 MPG.

Okay, now that she's down to 1/8th of a tank of gas, she gauges the options of Costco $4.16 a gallon and Exxon $4.23 a gallon and the mileage it takes to get to each station. jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a sophisticated talk back menu system in the dashboard ceiling where beep, beep, you get mileage, how many miles you got left before the gong starts persistently sounding in a loop to GO GET GAS.

Now there's alot of news about the price of gas and who cares? Can they fix it? No, so to get a leg up on the problem, HYPERMILING is a new term, but actually most excellent drivers already know this routine. You first learn hypermiling when you are a teenager and you never have any money for gas, even when it is $0.53 cents a gallon, y'know back in the day.

Hyper Milin'
According to Wikipedia: "Fuel economy-maximizing behaviors describe techniques that drivers can use to optimize their automobile fuel economy. The energy in fuel consumed in driving is lost in many ways, including engine inefficiency, aerodynamic drag, rolling friction, and kinetic energy lost to braking (absent regenerative braking). Driver behavior can influence all of these. The city mileage of conventional cars is lower than highway mileage due to: 1) a high proportion of idling time, 2) operation mostly at very inefficient low-output engine operating points, and 3) more frequent braking."

and you have the Internet, so research it yourself, but here's another Internet detour while you hypermile on your computer because you can't afford gas to go anywhere...

So, I guess I will take She mobile, aforementioned Jeep Grand Cherokee, to Costco for some Chi and some gasoline - and hope it lasts two and half weeks.
